WHAT AND WHO?

Guahira Community is a foundation or non-governmental organizations that started from a group bejalar some students, and people who care and want to help students who have learning difficulties in the village of Meunasah Matangglumpangdua Timu since 2002.

We work at the local level (village, district and districts) by placing a good community as a central human resource development is more advanced and competent.

Guahira always held a program of activities for free thanks to governmental organizations and cooperate with NGOs, district and provincial governments to conduct skills training, training and learning opportunities for disadvantaged communities.

We are a community that routinely build the relationship and strive to improve the quality of life for the better.

HISTORY

Can not be denied, the Aceh conflict has destroyed the entire joint lives of the people of Aceh. Added to the status of civil emergency and martial law, tens of thousands have become casualties, destroyed education, loss of employment, economic activity is not running and the people live below the poverty line.

The conflict also has created social wounds deep enough for the people of Aceh. The impact of this conflict would take a big loss for the people of Aceh and Indonesia in the future. Which is unfortunate, Acehnese children must pay dearly for his education and life even amid the military and civil emergency status. Of course this is a burden on the psyche and the deep truma for Acehnese children in conducting educational activities.

Given the impact that horrible, Zulfahmi ST, who recently completed graduate S1 at Syiah Kuala University, Banda Aceh in 2002 to mediate with students in the village by forming a study group in his home, which is in the village of Meunasah Matangglupangdua Timu, District Peusangan, Maritime-Maritime District is one of the worst conflict zones.

The study group had started from his home in the family parlor. Participants who joined the study group were high school students from close relatives and close neighbors around her house. In 2007, the Foundation Guahira get computer help as many as five units of the flagship program Pemeritah Aceh thanks to computer and IT learning for free. From the results of this program Guahira Community Foundation continues to focus on computer and IT training for free, then this program becomes Guahira Training Center as a community learning centers.

Guahira Community Foundation now has assets of building and land area of ± 208 m 2 on behalf of the Community Foundation Guahira. That building, besides functioning as a library there is also a mini computer lab and also as a central administrative office and the various activities of other activities.

PURPOSE

All the activities we do leads to the following objectives:

  • As learning centers for sharing and mediating a variety of learning activities aimed at empowering communities to drive development potential in the social, economic and cultural.
  • Expanding opportunities in particular citizens who can not afford to increase the knowledge, skills and mental attitude necessary to develop themselves so capable in charge of communications and information technology's current employment in all sectors.

PROGRAM

1. GUAHIRA TRAINING CENTER

The success of government programs and private sectors in the implementation of development is always determined by its human resources. The existence of human resources is a valuable capital for development in all fields especially in this time world all-digital. In order for the existence of human resources can actually support all forms of employment, it needs an effort to improve its human quality.

As an institution of community-based learning activities (Community Based) and institutional (Institution Based) established and maintained with the principles of, by, and for society, as an institution has a program as follows;

  • Through Guahira Training Center, the public can obtain the services learn and acquire different types of skills used to improve their lives.
  • As a gathering place of the potential that develops in society, meaning that Guahira Training Center into the container in dividing the various potentials (life skills), existing and developing, to become a dynamic synergy in empowering the community itself.
  • As an information center for people who want to improve their knowledge and skills, as well as specific values for the people who need them.

2. READ COMMUNITY PARK
